Nintendo lags with 9800 pro

I tried to plug my old NES into my 9800 pro AIW, using the purple input cable with the rca inputs, and the game lags, everything i do with the controller happens like a second later on my computer screen. Is there any way to fix this?

Dreamcast and Gamecube seemed in sync when I used it on my old 9800 AIW.
 
My Rage 128 Pro VIVO works great for this...
Maybe you need better software, or end some of those programs like MSN.
 
i think the lag has something to do with how the ati program caches the video (for pausing and recording??). I think if you try older software and/or drivers, the ati program wont have the caching "feature", and your game should be responsive again.

I never figured out how to disable the caching thing in the current drivers tho =\
