The bottom of my coolpix 4300 has a plastic insert where tripods can screw in and the threads in mine got really damaged. Tripods can no longer screw in and stay secure. Is there any way i can replace this peice? It looks like a little plastic square that could be popped out and replaced. Thanks

Hmmmmmmm, it looks like it's held in-place with the front and rear pieces of the body. I would ASSUME that it could be replaced, provided you have some sort of part number. Best bet would be to try and find a PDF that shows a breakdown of the camera.
