Nickle-plated or Poly Top?

the nickel will allow you to transfer more heat to the water. I personally like to be able to see the water flow so I use the poly.

Wouldnt you be able to see the water in both?

The only difference you'd see from nickel plated vs. plain copper is the aesthetics (otherwise the exact same block), so it's up to you.
