can anyone recomend a few fast cards for around 80-120 or so? i cant spend any more then that

i really have no ideas here i dont know if i want a nother gf or a ati

for exactly $100 you can buy my gfx5600nu 256 from my fs thread. but if your looking for a good low budget card, I'd check out a gf4ti4400 or a radeon 9000.

I recommend you save your money, and buy a decent card.

Seriously, whats the point of buying a card thats crap, and cant handle any games right now, much less in 2-3 months when newer, better games come out? It would be a waste of 100-120 dollars.

I recommend a radeon 9600xt, 9700, or 9500 for you. I think the 9600 is under 200 dollars, but dont quote me on it. The extra money you spend on one of these cards, is worth it, and you wont regret it.

Good Luck.

stay away from the 9600se though...
If you want a < $100 card, I suggest buying used from someone, new "budget" cards don't give you much performance/dollar.

go to www.newegg.com and search for this part #:

N82E16814128169

at pricewatch, there are a few other vendors that sell it slightly cheaper, but newegg is a top-notch online vendor, and are very highly recommended by myself, as well as most everyone else here on the forum.

of course, if you want more options, go to www.pricewatch.com and select the "video cards" link under the "mutimedia" section, and you'll get a list of many different cards

This guy clearly has no idea about budget gaming.

Buying a $100 video card you can easily run all of todays current games and most of the new ones for a good while. Who cares if you can't turn on 16x anti-aliasing at 10million by 7 million pixels.

yea. all i want is that the game runs with high quality settings at like 1024x768 with a high frame rate. if it does that im satisfied.

Well, this is the 2nd active thread on this question...

...and there's the sticky...

but, depending on what games you play, you might want to get a Radeon 9600 instead. The Egg's got non-SE ones starting at $109 as well.

The TI4400 is by no means a bad card. Sure, it's not a DX9, but if no DX9 games interest you, get it and you'll be able to crank the resolution up in older games just fine. If you want DX9 compatability, look at the plain 9600 line (not the SE).

Maybe a refurbished or even NEW gf4 TI4200 would run 10 x 7 rez ok in newer games. Maybe no AA or AF though.
