well, i'm gonna get a xp-90 soon, and i want quiet, but i dont wanna lack in the performance department. so i thought, "hey, maybe i could get a tornardo (super loud) and get a fan controller to tone it down"

now, i find myself looking for a fan controller. i like the Vantec Nexus 201 4 Fan Controller, but, it only controls 4 fans. i have (or will have) a tornado and 4 other case fans. maybe panaflos.

that means i need at least a 5 fan speed controller. i need it in black, and i just need to be able to up or down the fan speeds. i dont need a fan controller that tells me the weather. :p

anyone know of one? i'll keep searching. something's gotta show up...
 
alright. i dont think i need the fan controller afterall. i think i'm gonna go w/ 4 Vantec Stealth 80mm Case fans. that should keep the air moving.

then, i can just get better cooling for the things i need better cooling on. i can get the tornado w/ a fan controller, and i can put an NV Silencer 5 on my video card to keep that cool.

now i just need to look for a nifty little 1 fan controller. maybe the zalman fan mate.

do you think this cooling setup is sufficient enough for OC'ing a 3400+ to 2.5ghz and a 6800GT to Ultra speeds?

*edit and of course i'm gonna put AS5 on everything!
 
get panaflo's.. move more air then the stealth's. m1a's are nice.. if they are too loud, you just 7v em...
<edit> actually... use all panaflo's at 12v the nv silencer is louder then my 120 mm m1a at 12v(people complain that 120 m1a is loud)

my M1A isn't loud at all, and cools great. At least try it out, I think you'll be pleased.

the people who want there voltage regulators/memory to be quieter(they squeek, verry quiet, but they do) consiter the panaflo's loud

btw... why are you damning abit...
 
I damn Abit because I had to RMA my IC7-G 3 times for the fan completely shooting off ( NB ) and ripping the hook points off due to faulty cold solder.

Also, 1 of those boards had a cap blow under non OC'd conditions, and my current board has faulty voltage regulation of the ram at 2.8v or higher ( rev 1.1 )

They charged an enthusiast level price for a crap board is my main beef, only recently admitting they cut corners on making it.

i like my ic7, never had problems with it.. perhaps there IC7-G +max3 is lower quality?
3 motherboards all 3 came in working condition...(two friends and myself)
