NH-U12P SE1366 (HELP)

I am trying to install my NH U12P 1366 on my MSI X58 motherboard. I have followed the directions perfectly and tightened every screw. I can not get the cooler to make contact with the cpu no matter how many times I take it apart and reinstall it. No thermal compound even touches the cooler.

Please help me. I can take pictures if necessary.
 
I figured it out. The bracket instructions are horrible. Took me 3 hours to do the most basic shit.

I heard many times that the instructions were very clear and easy to comprehend. Maybe you were looking at the instructions upside down?
 
Problem was with the mounting bracket. The bracket goes on top of the base of the cooler and the screw go up through the base of the bracket. I tried every possible combination except this one. It was a mix of me overlooking something simple and confusing pictures.

Anyway, OMG this cooler is QUIET!!!!!!!!! My bios says 25c temp on my core i7. The sound is night and day difference from my zalman 9700 its great.
