I see on the front page of Hard that they ahve released a new version of these drivers. Ive never heard of them though, and am not finding much either on here or on there website about them.
So does anyone on here use them, and if so what are the benefits? And do you have any problems?

They usually make good modified drivers from my experience though now I generally do not use anything but official nvidia ones.

I would say stick with the stock 84.56 since I doubt you will notice a difference with the NGO 84.56 drivers . . . unless of course the stock 84.56s are causing stability problems. Then I'd recommend the NGOs.

Has anyone ever used NGO drivers? If so can you install them on top nvidia drivers or do you need 2 remove the nvidia drivers? Also does coolbits work with these drivers or do they have another overclocking feature. Until I know more I'm staying a few feet back from this driver.

I bit the bullet and went ahead with these drivers. After some quick preliminary testing I find my 3d Mark score to be -20 from my old drivers (84.21)

Fear test (and boy shouldn't all games have one of these!) shows my minimum, average and max all up couple. Also the 40+ frames category (over five runs) jumps 3-5%.

So far so good. No problems here. Will post more when I know more.

Does this driver have a totally new interface or is it similar to the nvidia drivers. Does coolbits work on this driver or does it have its own utility that has the clock frequency option enabled. I'm curious as to how these drivers interface with the device or in my case devices. Since you've used them maybe you can shine some light on these questions.

It has the standard interface. I have never used coolbits before, but NV tray and Riva Tuner work just fine, and you will need to use such to access clock settings. I am going to try out a modest OC and will be back.

Okay I tried out 446/1.14 and it runs stable in 3dmark03 and the Fear test. pickup of about 100 in 3dmark, and picked up a couple frames in Fear all around. These drivers are working well for me.

Thanks for the replies, Im thinking I will go ahead and give them a try in a few days. Im wondering what they have done to optimize these drivers? Although I'm sure it's alot of coding things I wouldn't understand anyway ;)

Nothing too big since it's really just minor performance/IQ tweaks. I doubt you would really notice a difference between these and the 84.56 WHQL save perhaps stability . . .

After playing Fear awhile and Civ4 for an extended period. (Just one more turn and I should go to bed........... what time is it? arrrrgggghhhhh!!! :D ) No stability probs with and without OCing. Slight performance gains remain constant throughout. Either the drivers are good ones or they like my config.
