finally.....long time after xtreme g's released thier badass 71.79 which I find is the best and I am still using it hehe

Hmm, never heard of these drivers. Gonna try em shortly. :)

Everything seems cool, but I am getting a weird glitch in Halo that I've never seen before.

ET works great so far, no more flickering on glass. :)

I think that's a bug in 71.89. I'm about to post another topic regarding that...

I get that same tearing effect in COD:UO, HL2, Doom 3 and KOTOR:II. (I haven't tried any others, yet.) I didn't have that problem before, only until recently upgrading from nV Forceware 71.84 to 71.89.

I'd be interested to see results with these also. I'm too lazy to install them myselves with 1 crippled hand and only one useful hand....stupid knife!

Another bump, I'm gonna try and take some leave time tomorrow to test these out against the stock NVidia's. Tests will be: Doom3, UT2K4, 3DM03 + 3DM05. On an overclocked 6800GT. Stay tuned :p

Here are my findings. All programs are the latest version, Doom3 running at 1600x1200, 2xAA, Ultra quality.

NGO:
3DMark05- 5141
3DMark03- 9761
Doom3- 58.7

NVidia 71.89:
3DMark05- 5152
3DMark03- 11958
Doom3- 42.6

I tried to bench Farcry, but the benchmark app kept crashing.. App used was HardwareOC Farcry benchmark. I will do some more testing later tonight.

The NGO drivers have some extra features in the driver panel, like an option to keep the fan on all the time, REFRESH RATE OVERRIDES!!! :D, and debugging.

System:
3.0@3.5
1gb PC4000
BFG 6800GT @ 391/1150

New control panel:

Must have been something weird going on, I just rebenched with the NGOs and got 43.4. I swear I didnt change anything, and everything looked right when I first tested it..

I thought the coolbits reg file only enabled overclocking? I never used it, I manually edit the registry myself..

Only tested it with WoW. Seems to have a small image quality boost. Running stable.

Coolbits 2 opens up stuff that coolbits didn't
