Device Drivers the weak spot

They told us it’s going to provide real support for the new 64-bit processors. They told us that the Microsoft Windows x64 Professional edition is coming very soon. But they didn’t emphasize the ugly fact.

Maybe they didn't emphasize it because MS isn't responsible for writing device drivers?
 
I think most of the common things like Printers, sound cards, video cards and stuff of that nature will have drrivers available by their companies before XP64 is widely available.

Most of the other stuff, like some NICs, raid cards, and misc other stuff or things from not so 'brand name" companies will take their time, but I dont see it to be too big of a problem. More than likely before the end of the year we wont worry about such issues anymore.
