i've been playing NFS Underground, and i'm capped at 60fps. now I KNOW ABOUT VSYNC - it is most certainly disabled in the radeon control panel.

my guess is that the game caps itself at 60fps - why i have no idea. how do i turn that shit off?! i want higher FPS dammit!

ok, i'll lay off the coffee for a little while. just gimme some clues or something...

its the latest patch, it did that to the game, don't ask me why

if you just install the game and don't patch it you won't be fps capped

explain why you need more than 60 fps? the human eye cant even tell the difference above 30fps, so why is 60fps a problem?

I sure as hell can tell the diff between 30 and 60 FPS, and I'm not even picky. 40-50 is what I consider very good. In a game like HL2, D3, FC, I'd be happy with about 30. 20s is when the jerkyness becomes distracting.

that's what i figured... whoever thought that one up at EAGames needs to be shot in the face. the original install does indeed show very high FPS - didn't bother to note. i saw 999 at some point. but i wanted to patch it just to make sure it runs ok - i like that game, and i don't want it to crash on me mid-run. the 1.4.0 patch caps it at 60 (or 61 - according to FRAPS) fps...

i WANT to see 100fps. i don't care if the human eye can't see it - MINE CAN. so i'm not human. deal with it! ;)

That game kicks so much ass :p

Ummm..... Bah nevermind, do your own research. And make sure you are not reading a study that was done around the invention of the television.

I made the mistake of patching I guess cuz ever since then my frames have been in crap city.

You can still run an older patch over it to restore it to an earlier version. Shouldn't work, but it does, haha.
