when hit by spike strips. are you done for completely or can somehow get your tires back and continue the pursuit?

You are done for 99% of the time. I have had one rare occasion where upon grinding to a hault, the police failed to detect me and the evasion bar slowly filled until I was free!

i think they made the spike strips a bit too powerfull, they should slow you down alot and make handly much much harder... but not the point where it is now it basicly stops you in your tracks. but every police chase i see with blown tires the cars and trucks keep going sparks flying. if you went offroad with blown tires ofcourse its gonna stop you and unless the car bottoms out it would stop you also. but just blown tires you could still go rather fast. granted you probly wont get away but it would be more fun.

That annoys me as well. When you hit a spike in real life, you can still go but not as fast. You think they could change it in a patch?

Regular cars have several inches of ground clearance.... the cars in NFS have almost nothing, so it would make sense that youre riding more on the body than the rims

yeah, I had one instance where I hit a spike strip that was left from a previous attempt to stop me (doing roundy rounds on the big highway circuit) and I had one cop on my tail and as soon as I hit the strip he just blew by me and Mach 2 and kept going .. there was a chopper in the air but I was able to hobble my way under an overpass ..that was prolly one of the longes cool downs I have had in the game yet ... :p

Me hate spike strips, lol you're going along at a comfy 200mph then you see a road block, you think, oooh an opening, then 2 seconds before you hit it your like, OH *expletives to teh max* a spike strip.

/end rant

I hate them also, because the alternative is raminging the cars and sometimes when you have 16 Level 5 Vetts on your ass, you ram into the blocked cars and by the time you get your head stright, the cops are all over ya.

It's not fair that your tires blow out but the cops can just drive over them.
