nforce6 or intel chipset for quadcore?

hi guys,

I'm planning my new rig.

I'm in doubt as to which motherboard chipset I should be looking for:

nVidia or Intel?

Does dual-channel really matter nowadays?

I'm not looking for SLI, but I'd like wireless.

Are you going to OC?

Since you want wireless I'd say go for the Asus P5k deluxe.
 
OC is an option. The standard OC like 10%, nothing extreme.

Doesn't nForce6 have wireless? :confused:
 
Very few boards have built in wireless. Only a few ASUS ones. And the boards usually have a hefty price premium. As their more of an OCers board.

However I once tried finding specs on the built in wireless to see what encryption standards and such it supported and was unable to find anything at all about it. When a manufacturer doesn't publish any info on their product it worries me...

I'd say to just buy a pci wireless card and use it, if your not going to use SLI or OC much no point in buying an overly expensive board.
