nforce drivers refuse to install

I am using winxp sp2 with an abit NF7-S and I downloaded the newest nforce drivers from nvidia's site...

When I try to install it extracts the files to my drive and then I get the screen "preparing to install" with the progress bar going across and then the setup just disapeers, no errors. I would really like to update because my drivers are pretty old. I think I have had a similar problem with an installshield installer in the past but can't remember how I fixed it. Anyone have ideas?
 
Try using the previous version of the driver, and see if it does the same thing.
 
One last shot at the issue before I start getting ready to format =/
