This computer that I bought came with an NF790i Ultra SLI mobo, but is supposed to support crossfire through some kind of driver manipulation. I have two 4850's in the machine, but I do not see the CrossfireX option in the CCC. Does anyone know how to enable CF on this mobo? Thanks.

um no it shouldnt support crossfire at all.. because its a nvidia chipset.. you need an intel or AMD chipset for crossfire..

Are you using that Dell model computer mentioned in the link or are you using an Asus/eVGA variant of the 790i Ultra chipset?

If your using an Asus/eVGA, I'd go to literately www.asus.com, support, input your motherboard model(easily found through msinfo32, find your bios version also in msinfo32), look for driver updates and bios updates.

If dell, same thing but Dell's website and pray they have decent drivers that have been updated reasonably well. OEMs are notorious for providing perhaps 1-2 driver updates for largely reported issues and then ignoring new chipsets drivers, onboard video card/sound drivers, etc that might be availalbe from the manufacturer's website.

It's an EVGA model. Do you think that with the drivers installed, the option for enabling CrossfireX will appear in the CCC?

EDIT: After installing the motherboard drivers from their site there is still no option in the CCC to enable CrossfireX.
