I've heard that Asus motherboards need to have a floppy bios in order to get windows to install on SATA drives.

Do I need to do this as well with an NF7-S board? Or will it work automatically?

Gah, im sorry, i accidently posted in the wrong forum.

Could this be moved please?

altho i do own an NF7-S and love it i dont use the SATA-RAID function, its sad actually. now that thats been said i dont wanna sound like an ass here. but.....RTFM!

EDIT: and if you dont have the mobo and/or the manual it can be found HERE for reference...;P

when you setup windows, when it first starts it says "if you have any 3rd party raid drivers insert them now" thats when you hit whatever "F" key it is and install them off the floppy otherwise windows setup will not see the SATA drive

I just slip-stremed the XP driver for my promise TX2000 and Tx2 card into the CD, along with XP sp1...hehehe

i know you can do the SATA onbaord too..

there guides on how to do it, online an few palces..google it
