NF7-S Installation problems

When I first plugged everything into my new board and double checking everything, then turning it on, rather than anything usual happening, a long beep came out of both sound devices (PC speaker and stereo system) every 5 or so seconds and nothing happening on the screen. At first I thought something was plugged in wrong, so I tried various combos and nothing worked. Finally I thought it was a dead board so I unplugged the most of it and plugged it back into my old board. Everything ran extremely slow, so I unplugged everything again and plugged it back into the NF7-S. Viola, no more beep, but there's some wierd message and it asks me to press F1 to continue or DEL to run setup. I run setup, restore default settings, restart and everything runs smooth up until the Windows boot-up screen. Within an instant of the boot-up screen showing, the computer resets automatically. Tried again, safe mode, everything, nothing.

So I ask you

WTF IS GOIN ON

As far as the system continuously rebooting...I may be interpreting you incorrectly, but it sounds like you didn't format/install Windows, rather you just plugged your old equipment into your new motherboard? Again, I'm probably just misunderstanding you...let me know either way.

Great info, thanks, guess my RAM wasn't put in properly

I'll try to stick my HDD in another computer to see if I need to format again.

I got the same message when on first boot with my NF7-S. I went in the bios and changed the memory divider, or whatever it's called, to a 1/1 ratio with the cpu. Never got that message again.
