I just recently upgraded my 8KHA+ to a NF7-M Rev 1.2 w/Bios 23 (latest).

Needless to say I've had a crapload of problems.

The biggest one, is that when I try to boot up, all the fans spin up, the drives spin up, it sounds like its' goin to boot, but the monitor doesnt turn on and the keyboard lights just flash on and off continuously. What does that mean??

For some reason, this would be alleviated by flipping the case on it's side???? Yeah, very odd.

I also tried reseating the ram, repeatedly, the cpu repeatedly, etc. The times it does boot are almost completly random.

Also, I'm having problems with it identifying my CPU. I have a 2100+ and it keeps comming up 1300+ no matter what.

After jiggling all the cords, pushin the ram almost out the back of my case, I've somehow managed to have it boot vertically....chances are if I turn it off, it wont boot again.

Everything worked before I switched motherboards. The only new piece is the motherboard. Any ideas???

Did you format after the switch? Did you get the board retail?

NF7-M is a piece of crap. I bought it based on forum members high recommendation of the NF7.....mistake. That thing couldn't change a single multiplier, overclocked like crap and I had to pretty much pray to get it to boot if I changed ANYTHING.

My advice, return the thing if you can! Absolutely dreadful.

Take it out of the case, put it onan antistatic surface, and get it working there. Then, put it back into the case, one peice at a time. It sounds like you didn't mount it in the case right, the other issue could relate to the Volcano 7+- There are 2 different manufacturers of sockets for athlons, one of which will give you a little more space for the clips, one with a little less.Kinda hard to describe, but the one with a little less space for mounting has severe mounting issues with the v7+. While the board is out of the case, look between the proc and heatsink, and ensure there is contact between them.

Set your FSB to 133, and that will fix the ID issue

and batotman- a board isn't a peice of crap just because it does exactly what it supposed to do and no more. Its not reasonable to expect the world from a board with integrated graphics.
