Ok I did the one where you are the kid that saves the world even though you are a lazy rebel who likes to eat and never ever study. It was entertaining. I finished it. Errr Enchanted Arms that was it.

When is the next RPG coming dagnabit?! I love Console RPG's.. dunno why but I do. I may have to get a PS3 if the console RPG's stay on the PS3 and don't come to the 360... then again I also love my racing games. So the 360 has kept me happy in those regards.

Just rambling... want to get a discussion going on RPG games for the 360.

I am totally jonesing for mass effect.

First time I have chekced out two worlds... dunno... Oblivion part Deux? I mean really.

A couple of JRPGs will be out soon (Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon). I didn't really have my hopes up for either but I really enjoyed both demos. Blue Dragon is out on 17 August and Eternal Sonata is sometime in September. After these, it seems like a long wait until November when my most anticipated game is finally released. Yay for Mass Effect. Another JRPG, Lost Odyssey should be out just in time for Christmas.

I didn't really like the Blue Dragon demo. But only out of personal taste. Looks like a good game for other people.

Looking forward to Lost Odyssey, from the same studio as Blue Dragon, but a completely different aesthetic and theme. Definitely a darker feel to it. Targeted more towards an older demographic, while Blue Dragon looks like it's appealing to a younger audience. I enjoyed this kind of theme a while back, but it's not really aimed at me anymore.

Yeah, definitely much darker than Blue Dragon.

I'm also going to be picking up Eternal Sonata and Mass Effect of course(assuming reviews don't hand me a suprise and tell me they're trash before then). Two worlds doesn't really appeal to me as much, it's being presented as a diablo-type RPG or a free-roaming oblivion-like RPG, but I'm more interested in story-driven RPGs personally. I'd have to hear something good about the narrative in that game for me to put time into it.

RPG's like two worlds ARE story driven, but the choice of whether to follow them or not is in your hands. the dev's usually put a million other options for you to follow besides the main quest line. Games like two worlds and oblivion are awesome, you just have to have the motivation to go out and explore a little bit. i realize that some people do not like that freedom, and would rather have the game point them in the right direction every step of the way, but i think that unless two worlds get's a terrible review and turns out to be crap it is defin. worth checking out.

Just look at the success of oblivion! this could be a copy very much like saints row was a copy for GTA, and it didn't turn out half bad

Phantasy Star Universe is an RPG (with more of an action emphasis, but still a good-to-great story). Considering you can get it for practically nothing these days, running through the (relatively-short) single-player campaign could be fun. Morrowind also just became BC, and if you missed it before, that's worth a go-through.

Far East of Eden Ziria is supposedly going to come to the US at some point. There's also Elveon, which is supposedly going to be a Q3 release.

Mass Effect is definitely due this year. Also another JRPG that has'nt been mentioned here is Lost Odyessey (sp?)

It was mentioned twice so far. I've said it in another thread. Sakaguchi (Mistwalker's founder and the creator of Final Fantasy) made 2 RPGs that come out in the US this year that are made to compete with 2 Square franchises, Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Blue Dragon is meant to compete with Dragon Quest and Lost Odyssey is his answer to Final Fantasy. He's even working on an MMO. The guy really does have an unholy hardon for Square. It doesn't sound like he left on the best of terms or he was just unhappy with where Final Fantasy was going.

Also, square-enix is releasing Last Remnant for the 360 and PS3 simultaneously in Japan and USA. When? No clue yet.

Here are all the Xbox 360 RPG release dates I could find:
Two Worlds (8/16/07)
Blue Dragon (8/28/07)
Eternal Sonata (9/19/07)
Mass Effect (November '07)
Lost Odyssey (sometime 2007)
