So I'm one of the worst next gen rumor addicts alive. I've been off the rumors for a few months and the cravings are back.

Any good leads on what to expect yet? Anyone throw me a few good links to read?

I thought you were Andrew WK...Disappointment =[

Shrink to 20nm or 16nm
HBM 1.x or 2.0
Stacked VRAM
DX12 full compliance
Shared/Pooled frame buffer for multi-GPU
Lower power draw
Lower heat output

...those are the staple big hitters for the next gen rumor mill...and very, very generalized.

Only thing right now is the rumor that Pascal is taped out on TSMC's 16nm FinFET node and launching by Q2 next year with the full chip (GP100) coming first. Article references a forum post and extrapolates from there.

Followup article here. NVIDIA is holding their GTC conference in Japan tomorrow where we may hear more.

For AMD, there is a post buried here somewhere (from Kyle, I think) hinting at something big from them to expect next year.

On the whole, WCCFTech is a gold mine for rumors. They always toss their spaghetti at the wall hoping something will stick.

Nvidia's Pascal should be really killer. It's being built 2 nodes smaller than Maxwell 2 so they should be able to fit a tonne of transistors on there. AMD is rumored to be working on something competitive but they don't want to talk about it because it would likely hurt Fury sales. Realistically the 980 TI and Fury X aren't that much more powerful than the Radeon 7970 so we're overdue for a real leap. We might even see reasonable single-card 4K performance on the high-end cards.

Rumor says GP100 will will have 17 billion transistors; more than twice that of GM200 at 8.1 billion. Comes from Fudzilla: another great site for juicy rumors.

According to TPU's latest performance summary charts, the 980 Ti and Fury X are close to twice as fast as the 7970/280X at all resolutions.

I'm more excited that watercooling might be more important. Higher heat densities and all. Not a clue why this is exciting.
