Next Best Thing

well, my os is kinda screwy at the moment, and I have none of the drivers for my hardware, so i can't really check. if you want, you can read about it in the operating system of the forum. im pretty sure i've got Realtek HD something tho.

oh, and how to be behringers compare to the edifiers?

behringers are cheaper and have more power. both need a sub woofer eventually but sound better than pc speakers. plus the have controls and a headphone jack on the front.

ya edifier has a sub. i think spaceman had a memory lapse there lol. but yeah, behringers need a subwoofer added later if you want the full sound.

Oh yeah, I was tired. The edifers do have a sub, are digital and will be fine too. The Behringer + a sub would be an improvement but $100 more.

how would i hook the behringers onto my computer?

oh, and the behringers would be 118 if you include shipping, which is only 17 behind edifier. which is the better deal?

The Behringers are more expensive... but they're better, imho. Especially once you add the subwoofer. As long as you're not playing hip hop or rap throughout the day, the lack of a solid bass shouldn't hurt too bad. But if you can't afford the subwoofer within the next half a year or more, I would just go with the Edifier.

Behringers, like the edifiers, simply plug into the optical or coax digital output on your mobo and of course into the wall for power. Three wires, that's it. Connect the speakers to each other, power cord and digital wire into the PC.

Done. That is why I recommend them. Too easy to F-up.
