Newest Nvidia Drivers and Overscan

So how do the newest drivers for the 8800 series (GTS in particular) handle overscan on HDTVs? I know this was a problem for the 90+ drivers but I can't seem to locate anyone having these problems with the new drivers. I hope some things have changed because I would hate to step back over to the ATI side.

Overscan compensation in the newest drivers is pretty straight forward. You use a couple sliders to resize the desktop resolution and it basically sets up a "resolution in a resolution" of your display's native res.
Looks like this:

Problem comes in when you're playing games that don't have very good resolution selection, you have to select the odd res that is created by doing this, i.e. 1728x962 or something. But most games should list it.

Oops, I should have added that I am running vista 64. Do the new drivers work with the OS? Also, if you can adjust overscan in vista with the new drivers, how to I get to that option? I haven't seen anything in the Control panel that remotely suggest I could do such a thing.

well vista drivers in general are a little immature, but I don't have it so I couldn't tell ya.

but it would be under "Video & Television" -> "Resize HDTV Desktop". Maybe try using NVTweak to unlock all control panel options or check in the nvidia control panel that its not hiding any.

Well it shows nothing so I suppose I will actually wait until I pul it in to the HDTV and hope and pray like hell that it will recognize the TV's native res. Perhaps it'll give me some overscan options then.
