We have an NT 4.0 (SP-4) specific program, it won't run on any other O/S, and there are no other versions, it is a required program.
The configuration is using the ELO video drivers for dual monitor/touchscreen usage and support.
And for some reason the only video card that will work is the 8mb PCI S3 Virge 320 video card(PWR Graph 64 3D), as well as the older onboard video on the older slot-1/P2-400 motherboards FIC-KBI-6130-V which is an ATi Rage Pro GPU.
We're trying a newer config, a P-4 2Ghz on the Soyo SY-P4VGM v1.0 m-board, but the only card that will work is the S3 Virge 320 in the P4 system. There are no NT 4.0 drivers for the onboard video for this m-board because it uses the VIA 4in1 chipset drivers.
We've tried newer and older AGP and PCI cards, but for some reason, the S3 card is the only one that'll work on the newer P4 version of this system setup.
All other cards cause the software/system to crash/lockup requiring a hard reboot.
The odd thing is that the older P2 boards have the Rage Pro GPU onboard and work fine, but 2 different versions of the Rage Pro AGP cards themselves won't work in the P4 system also. They too hang and crash the system.
We also have the Adaptec 62044 PCI and the Lava Quattro-PCI 16550 Four Port Serial Board in this system as well.
We have crawled all through the bios and various hardware and software configuration without luck.
Does anyone know of a work around? Or can suggest any possible ideas???
