Some quotes from the warranty page:
Standard Warranty
Products sold by Newegg.com are covered under our Standard Warranty, unless otherwise indicated. Merchandise under the Standard Warranty may be returned within 30-days of the original invoice date for refund or repaired/replaced within 1-year of the invoice date by acquiring a Return Merchandise Authorization number.

Many companies offer additional factory coverage so we recommend customers contact the manufacturer directly for eligibility and specific Terms and Conditions.
To me this looks like the products bought from newegg can be returned for a refund within 30 days, or can be replaced within a year.

Retail Products
Retail merchandise is warranted by Newegg.com for 30-days. Additional warranty coverage is offered exclusively by the individual product manufacturer. Newegg.com will only warrant retail products beyond 30-days under precarious circumstances. If you encounter one of the following instances please contact us and we will honor the warranty advertised on our website at your time of purchase:
• The manufacturer will not service end-users or does not have an RMA procedure.
• The Manufacturer is overseas or does not have contact information.
Now under retail warranty they say it is only for 30 days.

Someone please unconfuse me.

Most likely, the top part refers to oem parts. That normally only have 30 days of warranty or whatever from the manufact.

If a retail part has a warranty from the manufact, I would use that warranty over that of newegg's.

You have 30-days in which to return the merchandise for a refund. If it is not damaged in some way you will suffer a 15% restocking fee.

You have 90 days in which to return the merchandice for replacement and receive a new product.

After 90 days if you request an RMA Repair you will be sent refurbished products.

Bottom line is stay away from OldEgg...goto PriceWatch.com or PriceGrabber.com and search for your product, find the lowest price, enter the store name at ResellerRatings.com (you can even search for stuff there too) and search, if the store has a 7+ rating then buy from them, if it's lower then go back to the list and go to the next lowest price...

stores with a 7+ rating are just as good (if not better) than OldEgg...and a lot don't have gh3y restocking fees...if you're still nervous then read over the ppl's comments that are left by the reviewers...

NewEgg sux...you can easily find something elsewhere from a store with a 7+ ratings and service just as good (or better) than the old smelly Egg...Stores with 7+ usually get things done right the first time which is exactly why they have that 7+ rating...good customer service earns them that 7+ rating too...

They don't have good ratings for nothing so Pro NewEgg ppl stfu about the other stores not having good customer service and slow shipping when you haven't even tried out other stores!!!

/Anti-NewEgg rant

THANX
C'YA

I've been ordering from newegg for years and have had only one problem with a piece of hardware from them in all that time. It was an antec power supply that shorted out due to a fan wired wrong. They had a replacement at my house a week and a half after I sent it out. This was more than a year after I purchased the power supply. Can other online retailers do that? I don't care to find out :)

not to mention the fact that the bastards don't ship UPS!!!!!!!

now how is a teamster supposed to buy from them and still keep his/her pride?

go to hell newegg!!!!

Thanks for clearing things up :)

and Metallica_Band, it's so much easier to order from one place. Especially when it has a 9.72 lifetime reseller rating. It's not like they overprice or anything, their products are way cheaper than most places and for the places who have a 7 reseller rating but cost a few bucks less, I would rather pay newegg for that awesome customer service they got.

Let's not turn this into a big flame war. We each said our opinions about newegg, so let's end it. Arguing will accomplish nothing. :)

Now why would you saccrifice simplicity for money??? That's just stoopid...I have built one computer and added up prices for two others and guess what??? ALL items were cheaper than NewEgg and some even had free s/h...it's not hard to keep track of them...you just print out the confirmation and put it in a folder...

NewEgg overprices there stuff...why do you think I haven't bought anything from them??? And why the hell would you want to pay more for customer service??? Don't you know what you're buying??? Do you EXPECT something to be broken??? If NewEgg is "so good" then you shouldn't even NEED their customer service...I haven't needed it with any of my purchases...

NewEgg sux and all the ppl who are afraid to be a (wo)man geek and want to pay more for less are just stoopid...the decision to do that is stoopid...one of these days I'm gonne build another computer and build the same one using NewEgg and compare the prices...NewEgg will be SO MUCH higher cause they overprice compared to other 7+ stores... Hopefully some ppl will start buying from other places and stop having to depend on NewEgg after reading this...

Like I said, I am not going to argue. It not going to change anyone's opinon on where to buy computer parts. It would most likely lead to the lock of this thread.

:)
