Newegg using DHL Now!

Ordered Sat 25 shipped Monday 27 got it Friday 31...perfectly normal 3 day service in 5 business days...whats to complain about (sarcasm here folks)

newegg already liked to site on your payment for a few days to collect interest.

and yes dhl ftl. one think i bought from newegg was shipped dhl like halfway where they handed it over to fuckin usps for another 3 day delay before it was shipped the rest.

Newegg's shipping gets worse every year. It used to be Fedex and that worked out great for me on shipping times - especially if it had to come cross country from their California warehouse. It would always seem to get to me in 2-3 days max. Then they switched over to UPS and it took 3-7 days depending on which warehouse it came from. I ordered some memory abot a week and a half ago and it only had to travel from their New Jersey warehouse and it took over a frigging week. It stayed in Atlanta 2 days when it got handed over to USPS. No wonder DHL is about to go under.

I think just as many people have issues with fedex ups usps than they do with DHL. just like everyhitng else. Its a matter of opinion. I've had more issues with UPS and Fedex than DHL and I ship DHL stuff out about 5 times a week and not once has anythign been delayed past the 3 days ground allows. People need to realize what they are complaining about. Who the fuck cares if your item went to NY from FL then back to NY to get delivered to you, if its in the time frame i say STFU or GTFO

Oh wait I forgot how people are these days. Entitlement FTL

Yay!
My last DHL shipped package from TN took 5 days.
My last UPS shipped package from TN got here next day.

They won't be missed. I am back to the free next day shipping when I luck out and get the TN center.

cant believe this thread is still going. for me, free ups shipping is overnight, if i order before noon. the couple times i got free dhl it took several days. now that dhl is out of biz in the usa, i wont have to worry about that until newegg finds another crappy delivery service to replace the previous crappy delivery service. who will be number 4 now that dhl is gone? a1 ez ok aaa shipping?

My memory is still in the mail, it has been 7 days. I guess I am use to them delivering in 3-4 days. The weird thing my tracking says it was handed off from DHL to USPS??????

DHL has been doing that crap lately and it sits for a couple of days before going anywhere. I'd much rather Newegg just ship it through USPS in the first place if DHL is going to do that.

Other than the fact that many people will lose their jobs due to DHL shutting down in the U.S.A, i'm happy to see them go.

As long as I have lived at this address I have had DHL ship me things exactly 4 times.... I have had UPS or Fed-Ex ship probably dozens of things, perhaps hundreds.

Every single Fed-Ex delivery has been on time or early.

Every single UPS delivery has been on time. Never early, but right on the day it was supposed to come.

DHL couldn't find my house.... FOUR TIMES!

By the way, all four times, it was the same delivery guy. :p

I'm lucky I know my neighbors, cause he left the stuff at three different places all around me. The last two deliveries he was improving, he put them on the same doorstep at least.

Yes, I called to find out where the packages were, and the second one wound up being picked up and re-delivered by HIM! hahaha. Then he apparently forgot the address the last two times. I'm pretty amused by it now. I make sure that i NEVER choose DHL for delivery. Guess I don't have to worry about that anymore!

i've been using newegg since my first pc build back in the t-bird days(early 2001ish), with one warehouse in cali only, and free fedex express saver, safe to say i've been a newegg buyer for a while and i have built many systems over the years with parts from them, infact i just built 2 pc with parts from newegg just 2 months ago

it's truly disappointing for me to say that it's been 6 days since i ordered some memory sticks, newegg saids it has been shipped with a tracking number on monday, but the tracking number tracks nothing as of the writing of this post. it simply saids please try again later

and it saddens me to say that i just ordered another piece of hardware, and this time, i did not choose newegg because of the fear of lack of tracking again

You realize that DHL is closing down, so anything Newegg shipped recently with DHL is gonna be much slower to get to it's destination.

It's funny you make such a big deal out of it... shit happens... like a shipping company used to ship your product shuts down it's US operations which may cause some delay on an item you didn't even pay shipping for. And also note that DHL shipping was listed at 3-7 day shipping not including weekends and not including processing days.

I concur with Blazestorm, unless you absolutely need the hardware for production equipment, what's the big deal? Are you going to fucking die if you don't have your hard drive? I didn't think so. Quit bitching, if your shipment is way late, like more than 7 days, call Newegg, they have decent service, they'll take care of you. It isn't Newegg's fault that DHL is going out of business, guess what shit does happen, DHL is canning 9500 people, in a shitty economic market; those people probably aren't going to be able to get jobs right away. That's totally fucked up! Yet, this thread continues with, "Waaaaahhhh my shipment is late." Call the fucking whambulance and stfu at least you have jobs and can afford to by stuff, people getting canned are going to be lucky if they can buy their families a Christmas present.

Here are my favorites...

You're sad because you ordered something and in fear of lack of tracking? If these paltry things effect you in such a dramatic way, I'm really surprised that you're still alive!

DHL can rot in hell.
Be sure to tell that to the 9500 people who are going to have a shitty Christmas!

vbrtrmn,

I don't care much for DHL's handing of the packages off to USPS for delivery. To me, that says they can't do the job that they apparently contracted with newegg to do.

With their news about stopping domestic shipments, why is newegg still using them?

Cut out the middle man & ship the stuff directly with USPS. They are more than capable & they could probably even negotiate some decent rates! I get enough junk mail that cost the solicitors $0.20...........

Sorry to the workers at DHL. Hopefully, things will work out!

Be sure to tell that to the 9500 people who are going to have a shitty Christmas!

...And be sure to sing it in chorus with the 95000+ people who've gotten miserable service from those 9500. Sucks they lost their jobs, but the employees are what make the company.

Indignity
Newegg knows DHL does this its why the choose them from egg saver, UPS, FEDEX, all do this. Its a way of saving money. If its there within 7 days ( egg saver) why does it matter who delivers it?

For everything bad said about DHL, there is equal distaste from another person about FEDEX or UPS or USPS. Its all shipping and as America goes if we dont have it now, we get pissed off.

ok, im guessing dawg there works for or is connected to dhl or newegg in some fashion.

dell uses DHL too. i hate it... everytime its like wait for 10 days. one time i had them hold it and when i went to pick it up they threw the 3k laptop at my feet while i signed for it. i know that all packages get roughed up, but f that have some tact and please dont show me.

All you people who had HDL hand off the packages to USPS are lucky. Mine wasn't and it's pretty clear they just don't care anymore. Supposedly the package was left at the front door 2 minutes before I got home by DHL. It wasn't. The customer service phone number is disconnected.

Do yourself a favor if DHL is still delivering your package: call and have them hold it for pick up. Now I have to go through the hassle of convincing the company that I didn't receive the package and try to get them to reship.

yeah no more DHL Domestic Shipping come January 30th. you can still ship packages from US to international locations. i should know i work at the scottsdale, az location...in fact im typing this from work. not sure exactly when people in my dept will be layed off but we will get at least 2 weeks notice so thats good.

I'm sure everyone of those people did a bad job

seriously

what a stupid thing to say

Back at you buddy! Gotta open that ignore list up one more time.
Did you see the "rolls eyes" icon? Nope?
Did you bother reading the other message I posted? Nope?

Before being a douche, read the thread!

Well, I've had items shipped too me from DHL within the US and from all over the world and they all arrived safely in perfect condition. I currently have some RAM headed my way via DHL and my only gripe is the egg saver shipping will no longer gives me an expected date of delivery... such is the cost of 3-7 day shipping.

If everything arrives within the specified time, I don't care how it gets shipped. I'd rather not pay for shipping so it's all meh in my book.

as long as you have a 1z # in tracking its still ups you dont get a 1z bend over

I got my package Friday. Someone received my package several miles away (not even on the same street) and called DHL to pick it up. Thank you anonymous good citizen. DHL < * and I'm so glad they're not going to be delivering inside the US anymore soon. Not soon enough.

DHL has a problem finding my house. I later figured out that a tree was blocking my address and that the DHL driver is no more educated than a pile of leaves.

It said "Shipping Address not found" on their tracking site 5 straight days before I called in and just told the driver to leave it next to the damn tree.

Never have I ever had a problem with any other courier.

Welcome to DHL. They are horrible for these "fake" deliveries. I few months back I had a delivery being made to my house, they never delivered, but I got flagged for not being home. So I called back, said they'd try again. AGAIN, they cited I wasn't home. So I called and asked if I could pick it up. They said they'd hold it for me the next day.

I drive all the way down to the warehouse to pick up my package (a bday present for my gf) and guess what? It's out for delivery (tracking says it's being "held" for me)! I was told I could wait 2hrs when the driver gets back. So I wait, he's supposed to be back at 5, I wait til 6:30 when I'm told he won't be back til 8:30. At this point, I escalate to a manager. They dropped it off at the door at 9:30.

During my 2-3hr stay at DHL, there were no less (not exaggerating) than 5 different customers coming in with the same issue. They were home, no-one knocked, no-one delivered, their tracking #'s just said "attempted delivery, customer not home".

I'm thinking the DHL drivers take an extended beer lunch mid-day and just flag their shipments as "customer not home".

Hate to say it, but that is one company I don't feel for. Good riddance. Sucks about the jobs, but from what I recall reading, they were screwing over most of their employees anyways.

I'm not shopping with Newegg anymore. DHL sucks monkey nuts and I had an unpleasant experience with their customer service.

I gave tigerdirect a try and they were speedy (UPS) and the price was even better than newegg's.

ouch sounds like bad news
anyone from Cali still get next day delivery with Newegg?

No. DHL took about 2 weeks for a wireless NIC. I remember ordering it on a Tuesday, maybe Wednesday and it came the following Friday(not that Friday, but the next week). 3-7 business days FTL. I watched my small package drive around all over LA only to park at some warehouse for like 3 days doing nothing, then handed to USPS only to get it a day later. No thanks, I'll just pay for FedEx because they seem to have their shit together. It really does make me want to start looking around more as newegg is my default item store. I used to get next day or day after next with a lot of my items they were fedex.

Here is why I love USPS. This is the dirt cheap option on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

... cheapest shipping option, they moved that sucker over the weekend and have it here ready to deliver on monday morning!

Urgh DHL... a few times my dealextreme packages were faster. For some reason DHL seems to lose my packages and later finds them in the oddest places in the USA. For example, Alaska .

I'm located in NY and when I purchase my gear from the egg it usually comes the next day or the following day, that was with 3 day free shipping. Now their free saver shipping takes several days, even for items such as sd cards. I ordered a 8gb sdhc card and a usb cable and it took over a week to come. This is unacceptable since they have a warehouse in NJ. When I looked at the package, It was in abubble envelope, not even in a box, and awkwardly enough I received it from usps. I checked the shipping label andI noticed it was originally packaged and labeled by ups, shipped partly by dhl then shipped by usps. What a waste. They could have included fedex too! I don't see the point of using 3 different companies to chip an item weighing less than a pound.
