Alright, Tomorrow I plan on ordering some parts from the Egg. My question is, How long do you think it would take to deliver from tjere warehouse, to Florida? Miami to be exact.
 
Will it really take that long?
I'm so used to hearing people getting their shipment in about 3 days. Hell, for 7 days I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and un up to Tiger Direct.

Don't they have a warehouse in Jersey now? I would think it would be about 3-4 days from there.

If you're going to spend a few extra bucks you might as well up your shipping to second-day at Newegg...
 
Depends on what kind of shipping you get. Living in Los Angeles, I get the free FedEx ground, order it on Monday, get it on Wednesday.
 
Some of the items that i have ordered have been shipped from the New Jersey Werehouse, and the packages arrive1 or 2 days after they were shipped
and thats with fedex express saver

Edit: I live in california by the way
 
Newegg is pretty good about getting stuff shipped. Don't bother paying the extra to rush the order.
 
I might just go to Tiger Direct.
Only problems with that would be:
1. They don't have mobile AMD's
So i'd have to get a 2500+ Barton
2. They don't have the Zalman HSF.
However they DO have THIS.
What do you think?

It would only cost me about an additional 5 bucks, That's to go UP there, and get it myself.
Not to mention, I'd get it that day. Not 3-7 days after.
Worth it?
 
It would be your gamble, but I have read Some negative feedback about Tiger. I personally would go with Newegg. They honestly have the best customer service in the business and shipping is honestly very fast and if you really can't wait then up your shipping. It would also be a good idea to ask them which items ship from where. There are certain products that ship out from the east cost because that's where the supply is.

Funny thing about Tiger Direct:

They have a good score/comments at www.resellerratings.com , but I and those I know who have ordered from them have all had less than pleasant experiences. Huh. OK, so we are a sample size of three people, but still...

tigerdirect may not be the most reputable company, but if you're going up there yourself, and checking out the stuff BEFORE you buy it, that would seem to be the better option.

Plus, that way you KNOW it wasn't "damaged in shipping" or anything.
 
All the reviews and people who order from NewEgg all got their items pretty quickly. It never exceeded more than 5 days. The most is 4 days, but it usually comes in 3 days. And I'm talking about East Coast orders.

I would rather wait a week to get my items from NewEgg than get my item from TigerDirect overnight. That's how good NewEgg and it's services is IMO.
 
What I'm saying is.. Actually GOING to the Tiger Direct store. I guess some people don't know they have a brick and mortar (Proper Wording?) store.
It's in Miami.. Where I live.
 
Hell, if Tiger Direct was literally right out my front door, I don't know that I'd buy anything other than a case or something like that from them over Newegg.
 
Stick with the Egg. They have a warehouse in Jersey. Usually arrives withing 2-3 days. Usually 2. When I was in Chicago I got my monitor in 2 days from Jersey. Don't worry, just order. Trust me. =) Egg is the best.

Check : 3-4 Days to recieve the check, 4-5 days to recieve package.

MO: Basically like the check procedure

Credit Card : Payment received right away and you'll get your stuff in 3-4 days..


Thats from my previous experience with newegg.com.


And well you can expect 100% refund of your product and great customer service you can trust that will never go bad read the resellerratings.com for tiger direct and newegg.com and compare.
 
I ordered stuff (about half a system) to Miami this past thursday (April 8th), According to the fedex tracking it's gonna be there on tuesday (April 13th).

I'm building a system for my brother
 
I buy all of my computer parts from newegg, I generally receive them in 3-4 working days. I have never had a problem. I received one item without some cables and called about an RMA and they said they would just ship me the missing cables. They are the absolute best...

I don't hear all that much nice about them... and their rebates are widely rumored to be the equivalent of a lottery... I'd rather deal with who I trust when it comes to something for which I might need customer service, even if the purchasing of the product isn't as convenient.
 
With FedEx Saver, I usually get my packages in 3 days here in Pennsylvania, no matter what warehouse it's coming from. Newegg has the best service in the business, hands down.
 
Have patience, stick with the Egg.

I have used them often, they are great. You have anything wrong, they help, no questions asked.

Shipping is fast when I order from them (I am in NY). My last order: Placed on Monday (early afternoon). Received Wednesday. And that is with Express Saver.
 
Shipping and NewEgg seems to never be a problem. If I order Sunday / Monday, I get the package by Wednesday in WA. Years ago, ordered some stuff from Tiger, software I think - and even tho we paid by company credit card, it tool like 3 weeks to get the stuff.

I've never had an issue with NewEgg, and have been ordering from them since they came online - yah, my customer number is pretty low - and the first time I posted a comment to reseller ratings they had less than 20 comments. Between home systems and system I've built for others and clients, I've done close to $100,000 worth of buisness with them over the last several years and have had one problem with a bad vid card - which was a manufacture's issue, not thiers.

Tiger has way too many rebate deals. Rebates are fine if you don't mind waiting. I've never "not" gotten a rebate check, but most of the time I don't have the extra funds so don't use the rebate deals. And when it's Tiger offering the rebate... that seems odd. That and I've heard a lot of horror stories about crappy service and lack of response, refusal for RMA's and general "snotty attitude".

Stay with the Egg.

Yeah, I ordered 2x256Mb GeiL DDR400 and they shipped it from their New Jersey warehouse via FedEx air even though I only selected FedEx ground and got it on Tuesday. Easily the best service I've ever gotten from an online store. Newegg has my money for life, lol!

lol, Alright, well I ordered my stuff yesterday.
I went with the DFI Infintiy, 2400+ Mobile, and a AL/CU Zalman 7000
 
PS: I have ordered from the Egg a few other times, but I honestly don't remember how long it took to arrive

Well, I have had very good experience with them. I got my entire rig in 5 days... coming from edison NJ, some place mid west and some place in cali. If its just coming from NJ it should be very quick.

This would be a grand mistake. Stick with the Egg. It will be there no later than 4 days after the order is placed.
 
If you had ordered your parts that you wanted instead of starting this thread then you would have them by now :D

Yeah really... 7 days? I've ordered 10+ times from Newegg and here in upstate NY it has never taken more than 3 days for me.... even before they had the NJ warehouse.
 
i always try to order stuff on monday/tuesday, that way it gets to my house before the weekend and i dont have to wait 2 extra days. i live in Lancaster Counter PA (somewhat east)

it takes 3-4 business days to get here
 
I also am a firm supporter of Newegg. Their service is superb whether it be an RMA or a simple order for an optical drive.

Although I've had some odd luck since they opened their warehouse in New Jersey.

I've ordered several parts from their La Puente, CA warehouse AND their Trenton, NJ warehouse and I've always received my order quicker from their California based warehouse. It's very unexplainable, but I'm not exaggerating nor making it up. It's always about a day difference.

FWIW, I've always liked ZipZoomFly (formerly Googlegear). Good selection, good prices, free (or very cheap) 2d day shipping on most items. They don't have mobile bartons, but Monarch Computers has 2500+ and 2600+ with free shipping. Finally, TCWO has good prices on a somewhat limited selection, with free 3d day fedex on anything up to 150 lbs.
 
i just ordered from New egg today. for a whole shuttle system w/o processor for 760$ w/ over night shipping. ordered 10Am and by 8pm they are gonna give me Tracking number.. that was Frickin quick. i thought they would ship it out tomorrow but i was wrong.:D
 
newegg rules.
i hardly buy from anybody else now.

sometimes mwave.com or allstarshop.com
they both have great cust. service, but selection is not as large
 
I live in Jacksonville Beach FL, and newegg gets it to me in 3 days.

Newegg is the shit.
