i can't seem to find it, but does newegg rma cpu's if they've been used w/ a heatsink other than the retail one?

i'm getting problems w/ my cpu, was thinking i might have to rma

ps. i haven't o/c'd or anything

Yes, newegg will RMA defective CPUs if it has problems. I had to RMA mine after it died (had it run the torture test and it didn't survive; it was stock clocked and used stock HSF).

I think you only have 30 days since date of purchase/delivery to do it.

do it asap. the longer you wait the less likely they will rma.

but their service is wonderful so if you are within the time limit you will be fine
