So i got a case from newegg with two dings:

called up newegg-3 times, fedex-4, back and forth.

finally got a control number and got newegg to say that they will email me in 5 business days telling me what to do with the case. well they eventually emailed me and said that i could keep the dinged up case and they said that a replacement will be sent soon.

so i checked out newegg and saw a new order present in my account and it said the cost was 37 bucks. do i have to pay for a replacement? what is up with that? so that is my question. has anyone ever had any experiences with getting replacements from newegg because of damage done to packages from Fedex?

I have sent back a CPU to Newegg, but they didn't say I could keep the CPU while they sent me a replacement. And yes, on My Account in Newegg, there was a new order for $160 for the CPU, but I didn't have to pay it; it's just the cost of the part but you won't have to pay it. Although, you should probably call and confirm that.

edit: what's with those slow loading pictures...

sorry bout the pictures perhaps the resolution is set too high on my camera or something. They aren't too large to you are they though?

thanks for the info though. I will just assume that I will not have to pay it. That is what would make sense.

I remember when we got a shipment of about 14 cases from our distro and half were completely smashed smooshed and dinged, way worse then that. We had to drive back and show them before they would give us replacements. the boxes on most of them made it so easy to see there was damage done...

I would EMAIL and confirm that you wont have to pay for it, that way they send it IN WRITING that you wont have to... saves problems later on.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I received a damaged case a while back and made a phone call to Newegg's 800 number. I told the rep about the condition I received it in, and he immediately said he would ship me out a replacement the next day. Three days later I received a new case in perfect condition at no extra cost.

You wont end up having to pay for the replacement.

last time I had that happen ... newegg just sent me replacement panels for free ... I did not even have to return the damaged panels ... only happened twice so far ... just talk to them nicely ...
