Not sure about overclocking, but MSI might be better in that department. I been liking mine, need to get mosfett heatsinks when I start pushing it though. Although you still have to factor in the price differences between ddr2 and ddr3, and a lot of people can also use their current sticks with the asus which is a big plus.
