~$550 seems to be a normal price for this card. When I was looking for my 1080, it was the one always in stock around this price. Not bad...just normal!

1080TI or bust at this point.

35% more performance for 20% more money.

And 1080TI (any AIB cooling solution) is basically silent without watercooling. My EVGA 1080TI SC Black cards are completely silent in normal use, and only run in the mid 50* range anyway - even under 100% load mining. (they are pretty darn quiet even mining -- to be fair at 65% power draw)
