Newegg DHL !?

So I ordered a ram special from newegg and apparently for the first time it's coming....DHL?

I got a tracking # quick enough so 2 days later I go to check it & it's listed as "shipment data received" on the newegg page.

If I go to the DHL page & enter in the same tracking #, it says it doesn't exist.

WTF?

Anyone seen this before?
 
Was this with the budget shipping? If so I've had this happen where the tracking # is only useable on the newegg site but not on the shipping company's site. I think it has to do with the delivery method since they have the shipping company deliver the package to USPS which in turn makes the final delivery to your house.

Yep, I think that's most likely what's going on here. With the cheapest shipping they say that they are going to do that, but most of the time the actually ship it UPS.
 
I hate that super saver shipping. It will get to my city say on tuesday and it sits in some warehouse till friday when the post office gets it from dhl and then they deliver saturday. Happens everytime.
 
Every time I've used super saver shipping it takes a week to get, it's slow as hell. Normally UPS takes 2 days delivered.
 
I share all of your experiences. I ordered memory kit for a build and I had everything come in before the memory. As a matter of fact, the memory came in 4 days after everything else came in. I was so used to the quick shipping from newegg that I usually get that I didn't really check to see if it was DHL or not, I figured it's just the usual. Lesson learned, 7-9 business days MEANS 7-9 business days lol. UPS ground is my favorite :)
 
It is cheap, because it sucks. Shipping is expensive, because of inflation/gas prices. Pay more if you want it faster.
