NEWEGG: Crucial M4 256 $180 or Sandisk Extreme 240 180

Buy.com stalled my order, because I gave them my home phone, and my CC company has my cell phone on file.

Oh well, Im $420 in for a 256GB M4 and 512GB M4, little under .55c/GB.

I bought a 256GB M4 back at the very end of February for $280, and that was a ridiculous deal at the time, the drive normally retailed for ~$350 at this point. Dropping another $100 in less than 4 months is crazy. $180 for these drives is insane.

Hey guys,

I'm interested in the Sandisk but am unsure of any bottlenecks with my current mobo

ABIT IP35-Pro

I believe it is just SATA and am not up to date on SATA I,II,III compatibility

Thanks
BE CAREFUL... I had to install a custom BIOS to enable AHCI on my IP35-E. Otherwise you cannot use the SSD as an OS drive.

/Edit: It looks as though the IP35-Pro uses Intel's ICH9R which has AHCI support when the Intel drivers are installed.

Got my drive this afternoon. Arrived with firmware version R112. Updated with ease with the toolkit.
