The Crucial M4 listed above is the 9.5mm thick version. Newegg also sells the thinner 7mm version for $5 less at $299. Both models come with the transfer kit.

sadface on the Gigabyte 7970 when I bought it last month at 609.

Did the 256 GB M4 that wason sale at Newegg for $290 lack the transfer kit?

Lots of sad times for early adopters if they subsequently follow prices on items already purchased.

I'd also suggest not looking at GTX 680 performance numbers either.

whats the consensus on the 7770 at that price, is it worth it or are there better last gen value right now? need something for a sempron 140 right now, but will eventually transfer it to an Ivy later this year.

6850 can be had for less after mir, couple of them are at $120 now...pretty much equal for what they can do, but the 7770 draws way less power, and is a new generation card.

That said, I want the 7750 because of the incredibly low power footprint, and is still a good solid card, but my electric bill sucks.

is the 7770 worth the price diff over 7750, all the reviews say the higher clock isnt really worth the money. If i decide to crossfire in the future, will two 7770 be much superior to 2x of the later? I'd really hate to regret my decision a year from now over $30-40. Ive seen the 7750 for $110, so 30 bucks more seems reasonable for a 7770 it seems....

get the 7750 its not worth the price difference.

I haven't really looked into the clock differences or benchmarks between the two, i just know the 7750 is single slot, and needs no extra power cords, and the 7770 is double and needs one. It still has a low power draw(my main concern really), but not as low as the 7750.

I would say a good $30 less and it would be a great buy, stupendous even =-)(with mir too of course).
