But it appears nothing is being done with it other than holding on to the domain for future use..

yeah a little, but sometimes it could still be a steal on smaller and more expensive products

Yeah, its not uncommon for websites to buy similar domain names so people dont put typos and get some porn site or knockoffs. But why not forward to the actual site then?

Canadian Newegg would be the win. I don't live in Canada but think it's a nice place. The Canadians are good people [cept those separatists] and deserver a NewEgg.

I think the only reason why they don't ship outsied the US is like other places that I have asked. They have "manufacturers agreements"

Whenever they tell me this, I think to myself wtf, what assholes :D
But I don't get it, why are there these "manufactureres agreements" often? What is there purpose? Is it a US economy thing? Uhhh, isn't exporting good?:confused:

ive had stuff shipped to me through someone in the u.s, but i did that through xoxide, im not sure newegg does it.
but let me tell you, its a pain in the ass, for the simple fact that they either have to ship it back to you in canada (the person you shipped it to) and you still get raped on shipping, or you have to get down there and pick it up (so unless they live close to the border, for me the closest is niagra falls) so you're pretty much screwed either way.

xoxide ships to canada now, but still pretty steep (like $12+ as compared to the standard $25 before, was funny when u go to buy a $2 grill and get raped $25 on shipping)

I've always wondered why the large comp stores online never catered to Canada/Mexico. Personally, think their sales would increase by phenomenal amounts, especially sites like NewEgg. For me, living in the states, I would really really appreciate it if NewEgg started accept PayPal, but we all know that's never going to happen. ;)
