Just wondering how many of u fella's took advantage of the hitachi 80gb 8m cache deal on newegg. For only 68 bucks you can get one of these drives. But why would u only get 1 when u could get 2 for 130. So yeah I picked up two of them. Just waiting for them to arrive now. Any tips on how to transfer all my os to the new raid 0 array i am setting up. Is it possible. Partition or ghost has to be able to do it. As of now i have 1 80gb ata 8mb cache as my main and a 40gb storage. So if anyone has any feed back on how to do this it would be great. Oh and I have an NF7-S so i am using the raid off the board.

well, the easiest way wuold be to format and install Windows on the SATA array, then copy files. Ghost won't work (easily) if you're going to a RAID controller. General rule of thumb is to REPLACE to old drive. Same controller, cable, etc and move the old one to a new place in the PC.

My personal suggestion, install Windows/apps/games on uberfast RAID0, and keep all your data somewhat safe on a single drive. You could call it...D:\

Recieved them today looked pretty sweet. Until i installed them and on the way in while slidding my hdd rack in on my PC-60 one of the sata connectors on the drive the plastic part just popped off along with the cable. So i know have bare leads sitting there and no hard plastic backing. I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why windows wouldnt identify my raid config. DAmn POS and PITA hard drive. So i guess i will try and epoxy the plastic backing back to the hdd it should be amuzing if it doesnt work i am ****** and will have to buy another one.

I know with my SCSI controller I had to upload drivers before it would recognize my RAID array.

If it seemed to you that the part broke from standard use and tension, then it can be said to be faulty manufacturing and should be replaced under your warranty.
