Newbie to readhat 9 linux, wanting basic command list?

I'm installing redhat 9 onto a older box (well have it installed) on a computer from my school that i'm taking home. I wanted to know the basic command line commands i need to know? If someone could list these or point me to a place that has them it'd be well appreciated.

references needed: (installing programs, makeing files, mkdir I think?)

init.d cd command or something for if I want to put in the command
./network restart since we are still configureing the network cards.

nice thanks i've been around linuxquestion.org before for help on setting up a counter-strike server. Thanks for recommending it though.
