Newbie to Overclocking

Hey all, this is more directed to those that have the same mobo as mine cause my questions are pretty much mobo specific. I have a gigabyte GA-7VAXP and I'm looking at getting a mobile Barton and doing some overclocking. So how many of you guys have this board and what are your experiencies with overclocking with them? And is it better to overclock from the BIOS or to use the easy tune 4 software? To overclock using to easy tune software do I need to change some settings in the BIOS first? Mostly I'd just like you guy to share with me your wisdom and experience when overclocking with the board. Thanks guys.

Also, I've heard some rumors that you can somehow trick a non mobile barton into thinking it's a mobile batron. Is there any truth to this?

All that did was link me to gigabyte's web site. I think I've already pretty much exhausted that resource. Thanks though.
 
my friend had that exact mobo, with a 2200+ ,and one of the power mosfets blew up, so that sucked, i never tried with that motherboard though
