Ok. I hope I can be helped out with my OVERCLOCKING experience as much as possible!

And thank you to everyone who helps me out with this!

Ok I guess I should start off with what I got:

4400+ X2
Asus A8N-SLI Premium

Programs I will be using:
CPU-Z
SpeedFan
ClockGen
Prime95

The guide I am using is from this forum in the amd and overclocking sections. And was written by (cf)Eclipse and the other guide written by UberL33tjarad

I want to do this step by step showing my bios setup and what I am doing: I also think this thread could help people out b/c of the pictures I display as a get by step by step.

PIC 1: Front of my BIOS

This picture shows My first screen in the Bios (ASUS) Nforce4

Ok now on to overclocking: The first step is the FSB (HTT) Overclocking

PIC 2:
STEP2.jpg

1.TAB - - > Advanced - - > CPU Configuration - - > and set the HT Multi to 4X

2.TAB - - > Advanced - - > Jumper Free Configuration - - > and set the CPU Multi to X8

At this point Both Guides tell me something Different (cf)Eclipse guide tells me to set the:RAM divider = “ to 100mhz 1:2

And UberL33tjarad Guid tells me to set the PCI/AGP.

Both of these things I can not find in my BIOS. This will be the first thing I need help with. After

these are the directions i copyed and pasted from (cf)Eclipse

(first step!)
Armed with those programs, reboot into the BIOS and make the following changes:
HT link multi = 2x (edit: some boards have weird quirks, try 2.5x or 3x instead if you feel this is an issue)
CPU multi = 5x
RAM divider = "100mhz 1:2"

Boot back into windows after saving those BIOS settings and do this:
open prime95, and start an "in-place fft" torture test.
increase the FSB (HTT) with clockgen 2-3mhz every 15-30 seconds.
keep track of the speed of the FSB (HTT) as it's likely the computer will reboot before prime95 throws an error. whichever one happens though, remember 5mhz under the last speed you set.

write down this number somewhere, as it is the MAX FSB (HTT) YOUR BOARD CAN DO without tweaking other things. if you can't break 250mhz, something is wrong.

Can anyone help me with what My Ram Divider is or where it located?

Or the PCI/AGP settings

First of all, why is your CPU Multiplier at 8x? Is that an overclocking-in-progress shot?

About your divider issue, I'm sure someone with the A8N-SLI will be able to help you out.

Before we get started, list all your hardware.

what PSU are you using,
what RAM are you using?
are you using onboard Audio?
Are you in RAID ?
What kind of cooling do you have?

These factors, and more, will determine if you will have a successful OC or not so successful...

PSU: Antec 2.0 550W
RAM: OCZ 2/1gb
No Raid:

Cooling: ZALMAN CNPS9500 (Air Cool)

>>>>LOL >>> yea .. 8X is overclocking in progress.... very bad at it i might add.

When i run the stress test and Clockgen to test how far i can get my FSB up .. i cant even go higher then 210 with out error.. any higher then 215 and it shuts off.

Those are the only 2 things i have changed in the bios
1.HT Multi to 4X
2.CPU Multi to X8
