Newbie Request for help with water level dropping

I just (two weekends ago) installed a new water cooling loop in a Corasir 800D - the loop is a Swiftech Apogee GTX, Swiftech MCRES-Micro Reservoir, Swiftech MCP655-B pump and swiftech 120.3 radiator. I am using 1/2 fittings and Masterkleer Tubing 7/16" ID 5/8" OD to connect all the pieces of the loop. My question is this:

I do not have any apparent leaks in the system, no dripping water, no water below the computer, no moisture inside the case, etc, but the level of the water in the reservoir has went down about 1/2 inch in the first 3 days since starting to use the system.

My first thought was that this might be air working its way out of the loop, but I ran the loop for 48 hours before actually turning the computer on to make sure all the bubbles were out.

I then though maybe i had a loose fitting in the top of the reservoir where water was evaporating and escaping, but after putting a new fitting in there with new O-ring the problem persists and the water level has dropped another .25 inches since replacing this.

What else should I be checking / doing?
 
Initially it will drop fast, but it will still go down for another couple of weeks...at least that's been my experience. It should stabilize after a couple of weeks and then go down very very slowly with time.
 
I'd really check closely.
I've seen a small, and I mean small drop in the reservoir when a loop was first filled due to air.
But that generally takes a couple hours at best to settle out.

Then the loop should be rock stable. A 1/2 inch drop in a Micro-Res is quite a bit.:eek:
 
take a piece of tissue or toilet paper and gently run it over all connections. if there is any water around them this is an easy way to tell, even if you cant see it or if its not enough to feel on your fingers.

plastic does actually absorb water, and permits evaporation, so some drop is normal over time, but not that much in such short of a time period.
 
Thank you for the suggestions - I did not find any leaks (even with the tissue paper) however, the level has not dropped since Ifirst posted s - so I am hoping it was just the initial loss as per ghost6303. If it goes down again I'll start searious worry mode, but until then, I guess I'll just monitor it.
 
It's pretty likely you didn't get all of the air pockets out of the loop. Did you turn the computer almost onto it's sides while bleeding? That usually forces most of the stuck air bubbles out, if not, they will just work themselves out over time.
 
I had the same issue when i first installed my loop, had an air bubble stuck in my radiator! Just tilted my computer around and got it out.
