Hi...

I was just wondering how I could make the background on my website flash different colors, like red green and blue. Is it as simple as animating a 1x1 .gif three different colors and setting it as the background?

Yes, that will probably work, but may I ask why in the world you'd want to do something like that?
That kind of crap only exists on websites that haven't been updated since 1996, or on the MySpace page of a 14 year old girl.

I wish to create a section of my forum that is reserved for shall we say...less than ideal posters. ;)

Hey...well I've got the rgb gif background working correctly but I was wondering how I could go about adding dhtml raining effect on my site?

I found this code on the internet but I can't find on which line I input which image I wish to actually have rain:

Code:
<!-- ONE STEP TO INSTALL RAIN:

  1. Copy the coding into the BODY of your HTML document -->

Any help?

:)

umm the instruction are straight to the point :D

Just paste the code into your .html file and you are done. Works in IE, but for some reason FF didn't like it.

Yeah but where do I specify which image I would like to actually rain on the website?

I'd like an anigif of "never gonna give you up" to rain.

I don't think this script will do that for you. I know nothing about Javascript, but looking through the code it is sort of apparent that the "drops" are generated on the fly.

Soemthing like this http://grizzlyweb.com/webmaster/dhtml/movingimage.asp might be better.

Thanks!

That seems to work better, but it doesn't exactly "rain"...it just makes a bunch of random moves across the screen.

edit: Also, how would I be able to loop that script so it keeps going indefinitely?
