New to all this and I need some guidance and details to overclock to 3.2 - 3.6ghz.

PC
Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35
4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
INTEL E6600 Quad
ATI GRAPHICS
Power Enermax 600W
Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B CPU Cooler with AS5

Thank you :)

Set your FSB to 400Mhz, your multi to 8 (or 9), set your VCORE to auto and attempt to boot. If it does so, run some benchmarks like 3DMark to test for stability. If it doesn't, you may need to verify your RAM timings are nice a loose. Once you have it running stable, you'll want to set the VCORE manually to get it as low as possible while remaining stable. Finally, most recommend 8 - 24 hours of dual prime 95 or orthos to test for stability. BTW, there are plenty of overclocking threads and such here in the forum if you look around. Good luck and remember to have fun... :D

i would like some info on this one too since i have the same chip.. but wait, is that c2duo or quad chip like q6600?

run both prime and video stress test simultaneously for full system stability. i also make a habit of setting ram to specified timings and voltages. once i achieve my intended clock, i try to get the ram to run as close to its specified clock as possible.
