Newbie Laptop HDD Question

Excuse my ignorance. I was given a laptop with a novice diagnosis of a bad HDD. It's a Toshiba Satellite P25-S609. According to the Tech-Specs on Toshiba's website, I need an ATA-5 HDD. However, near as I can figure, Newegg only sells ATA-6. Are these two compatible? Can I replace an ATA-5 with an ATA-6?

Yes, an ATA-6 drive will work with other versions of the ATA spec as well.
