Newbie HTPC odd question

I have a few extra computers laying around, almost enough spare parts to build a HTPC system sans a good tv tuner/video card.

Most of my current setup/parts:

-Toshiba 46H84 link to specs 46" televison (HDMI input)
-Yamaha YHT-160 link to specs surround sound system
-Gigabyte 7N400 (not sure if rev 1 or 2) specs
-1 gig Cosair PC3200 (can't remember brand at the moment)
-Athlon XP 2500+ (again, trying to remember, think i'm correct on that though.)
-nVidia geforce FX 5200 256meg w/ s-video & DVI out
-plently of harddrives
-can get a legal copy of XP media center edition

My goals/concerns/etc:
- massive harddrive space to store DVDs (backup my existing DVD library to HD for easy watching)
- cooling is not an an issue, not picky on how loud a computer is, noise of TV would cover it anyway.
- output to TV in it's true, widescreen format
- audio output to the Yamaha reciever
- no skip dvd playback

So, sorry for the long drawn out post, but my MAIN thing is I don't want to go and spend the time to put all this together, and have my TV/reciever not function correctly. Does anyone know, judging by the specs of the TV, if this TV is capable of running an HTPC setup? Also, what would be an ideal video card to do said functions? Would mine work?

The price on a new videocard is a relative non-issue (I mean, I'm not going to need a 7800GTX).

Could any kind soul please spare some expertise and let me get to my first HTPC project?
:)

update: after doing MORE searching, I noticed this guy has EXACTLY the same TV I do, just unsure of his input methods.

update2: looked more into parts and found a geforce 5200 fx 256meg

update3: quickly put all said parts together, can't get my TV to display the picture correctly. On certain resoluations all I get are crazy, scary lines on my TV. Other resolutions are just a solid black TV. 720x480@60Hz causes the solid black. =(!

If it has an S video then it will work fine. And looking at the specs it looks like it has S video. Also looks like is has the ability for DVI. If you want to be able to view the stuff in HDTV people told me a Gefroce 6600 card is the best for that. But I'm new to the whole HTPC. I'm working on building my own. But I'm pretty sure you won't have any problem with your TV
