i have the case basically taken apart right now cuz i found some blue EL wire i wana use. it has a cigarette lighter plug on it now. idk how to power it through the comp.

Damn man, wire management. I have more stuff then you, and don't have half the cludder. I know your new and all, but wire management is deffinently where you want to start. I took some pics of my computer so you can compare them. Mines no where near "1337 but its good enough for me.

Yeah, I suck at pics but you can get the idea. The two fans are sleeved and ran up top the mobo. The cold cathode controller is under the cold cathode. The white wires you see, you can't see with the case window on. The two hard drives are turned around. All the power cables are ran behind the mobo.

Travis, is that a computer or an emergency distress beacon? It's soo.... damn.... bright! Not that I don't like the looks, but I wouldn't want it that bright :)

Man, it looks better in person. It has 3 blue led fans, and 2 ccfls. My camera sucks, sorry.

well i dont kno how ot run the wiring behind the mobo. i def wana clean up the wiring first tho. but idk how to do any of this. can u give me some tips ect.

here is a pic of the other side of my mobo panel

soo what do i do lol...

1. Put all your power cables from the power supply behind the mobo tray. Flip you hard drive so the IDE cables are facing the front, so you can't see them. I'll hafto to take pics later of my computer without it on. Look in here for more ideas.

Good luck man..

I can't believe you had pre-cut holes and still decided to put the wires in front. Listen to Travis and put your wires behind the mobo tray and use the precut hole for your ATX, IDE, and your optical drive. Use tape to put them along the sides of the case so you can hide them. Lots and lots of tape! :D

Yeah i know right? Man my case has 0 pre cut holes, and i'm dealing with it. Zip ties are usually a must too.

my case doesnt have any windows. this is just with the panel off.

much better man, looks very nice now if you could tuck away that ide cable in the 5.25 bays somehow...

Yeah...it's starting to look better, but you can still do some cleaning up:
1. Get rid of that flat ribbon cable and replace with something round.
2. Bundle (and sleeve) those case wires at the bottom of the case. No reason to have individual wires making things look messy.
3. That PSU is causing most of your problems as you've cleaned up the mobo are pretty well. You really aren't powering much to have so many extra wires, so you can:
a. get a modular PSU
b. Try bundling all those PSU wires to the back top of the case (zip ties through the perforations in the frame) to get them out of the primary line of site as much as possible.
4. Sleeve the cables in your case (at least use electrical tape) to give them a uniform, more orderly appearance.

i just now took it back apart and hit that too. ive run out of ideas for stuff i can do to it tonight with no $$..

anyone else have any ideas of stuff i can do to my case for cheap?

For your Round Cables I say Order from Acortech.com . Look in the WorkLogs Forum at my thread "Project Pink" I put in 1 Round Cable and it made such a difference. For $3 I consider that VERY cheap. Cheaper than anything else I know of.

awesome thanks. im wanting to make the power wires that u can see not look so blah.

i thought about uv heatshrink but the connector for motherboard power would still be ugly. i have seen uv connectors. but how do u put them on?

hack off the cigarrette plug, strip the 2 wires. shove them in a power supply plug.

if one wire has a stripe, or the conductor is gold, as opposed to the other being silver, or if the one is in any way different its probably the positive, that needs to go in the yellow wire pin on the molex plug, and the other wire can go into either of the black ones.

For your IDE cable going to the CD drive(s), run it behind your mobo and connect it there because your only using one plug. Looks a lot better man, look at the before and after..

And yes, I know, I have too much blue. Nothing else would look good really..

Edit: actually I'm open to suggestions :p

what about suggestions for good cheap cases. i want to watercool my computer soon so i need something with enough room for that. but i cant afford a Lian Li

i just noticed that my fan on my nvidia Ti4200 doesnt spin at all...its not stuck. just dead.

what can i do to fix this. cause im sure thats not a good thing.

you will have to find an aftermarket cooler for that video card or something. maybe an orb with some of those ram sinks for the ram?

its a graphics card cooler to replace your current one that dead :) and you cant really use those pictures ot show us its dead cause the other fans arent moving either :p darn flash :p

ah gainward, i loved my gainward card, and i had the link to the site that sold replacement parts like that fan for $6

when i got it i knew about ATi and Nvidia chipsets and that was about it. i didnt kno what companies that made the card were any good. but ide been satisfied with the card. im thinking ill just hold off till i go water cooled. i dont do much gaming lately. so it doesnt get much of a workout.

You could buy a new psu like this . It comes sleeved, its modular, very high quality, and you wouldn't hafto sleeve the wires/change molexes and also you could just use the wires you need so you can avoid a lot of cludder.

thanks. im thinking about ordering my Lian Li fake soon lol. its like $48 shipped and its damn near identical to a lian li. its silver and i would have it powdercoated wrinkle black. no shinyness. and ide add a window inthe side.

If order that case, make sure you could start cutting, because like the Lian-Li PC-6X, one of the easiest, yet most important mods is to cut a hole near the psu, so you route all your cables through the back, just like you did with your case, except theres no precut whole heres lol.
