As my movie collection rises and space on my computer decreases, I'm thinking about getting a NAS; however, I have a seemingly basic question. Is the NAS still accessible if the computer used to install the software is turned off? I'm thinking about getting a WD My Book Live and want to ensure I can still access the content around my house even if the computer with the WD software is turned off.

My thinking is, the storage will be accessible as long as the router remains turned on. Correct?
