So with an MCR360 Radiator, I am running 3 YL D12SL-12 fans right now, and am curious about whether I want these to be pulling or pushing through the radiator.

It seems to me that if these are pulling, the restriction of the radiator on the inlet side of the fan would cause lower static pressure, but if these were pushing, would create a higher static pressure due to the unrestricted inlet... is this true?

I plan to eventually get 6 GT fans, but for now, the budget is stuck with the YLs.

Pull generally performs better than push. However, the difference is marginal.

It has something to do with the thickness/static pressure of a fan whether the shroud wll help via push or pulll. But as martin has tested, push has like a 1 degree diff :).
