My motherboard Is msi ka780g, and i think it supports crossfire. So will I be able to run a video card and my onboard simultaneously? Also if I want to use 2 monitors that are spanned(taskbar stretches across bottom of screen). Would it be possible to use the dvi and hdmi outputs from my onboard video?
 
As fair as I know you can either run with onboard gfx, or, a dedicated video card....not both.
Onboard video is for those who don't have or want a dedicated video card.
To run a dedicated video card you would need to disable the onboard video in the BIOS and therefore the onboard outputs would not work........you would need to use the outputs on your video card.

No doubt others will answer with a better answer.......:D
 
There's no need to disable anything in the BIOS, simply plug in the dedicated card, plug your monitor into the card, install the drivers and your good to go.

As for using the onboard similtaneously; it would require another 3000 series card, even then I'm not sure if you can with your board. Don't even bother messing around with that, it would be such shitty performance. Get a 5xxx for cheap now, or wait for a week or so for the 6xxx series coming out. The 460GTX is also a decent card.
