Yeah, I'm new here, I don't want to be known as a spammer, but if anyone wants to check out my website it has hardware and linux stuff on it. I am trying to get up some cool tutorials but I need help. If anyone is interested in helping me, please contact me.

Too late. Coming in here and posting your website generally isn't accepted. However, if a topic comes up and you think something on your website would be beneficial to the topic, then feel free to post it. Also, a lot of people put their urls in their sigs. Do that and make some legitimate posts and you will probably get more hits than just coming in here and making a topic to promote your website. If you are looking for critiques, post this in the webmastering forum and they will help you out.

edit: Okay I just went to it. The flash welcome banner is just horrible and pointless. I promptly blocked it. When I go to a website, I want to go to the website. I don't want to have to click again just to enter the site. Also, there isn't much through. I think I went through just about everything on the site in about a minute.
 
hey, i checked out your site since i was really bored? is that some kind of modified phpNUKE portal or somethin. it looks almost exactly like nuke, but i saw shadow portal or something in the footer text.

it is pretty nice looking, but i did not really see anything that would help me over there yet

Eh, site pimping, whatever. I agree that it's bad form. I don't agree with the noob bashing, though--you violate the rules, let the mods/admins handle you.

Also, this bugged me:

"rm -r file" - deletes the given file.

You can't recursively (-r) delete a file. Thus, your tutorial has a glaring flaw. Perhaps you meant "rm -f file" instead?
 
No offense but there are plenty of other linux tutorial sites out there that have much more info then yours. Why should I choose yours if I can already goto a site with plenty of information and a strong community. Why not contribute to linuxquestions linux twiki or to justlinux.com instead of starting another site?
