well for comparison my xp2500 that i have clocked at 200x11 with slk900 is at 40 idle with 30 case temps.

No, that's a fine idle temp. You also need to consider load temps though. As long as those are under 60 you have nothing to worry about.

burn mofo burn! jk... just for a comparison, my 2500m runs 11x198 at 36-38idle, low 40s load... i have an alx-800 with 3500rpm fan.

Haha, woo hoo!!! My 2500 @ 3200 speeds runs about 68*C under load!!! urs is fine, and, like the other person said, 60 or less under load and ur just fine.
