New Westy 37" DVI problem

I just picked up the LVM-37w3 and I have it hooked up to my ATI x850 xt vga and it looks good. I purchased a Monster DVI to DVI cable and when I used that it was intermittent and then just loses the signal. I first thought the cable so I hooked it up to my Dell XPS laptop and it looks fantastic. I'm getting something on the ATI DVI output as I used the DVI to vga converter and it's fine. It has to be the drivers I think. When I uninstall the drivers and reboot it comes up fine. After I install the ATI drivers and reboot, it loads the ati drivers into windows and looses the DVI signal. What the ? :mad:
 
I stated in my message that the output is fine using the DVI port until windows loads the ATI drivers.
