Hey,
Once again it’s another thread for a new guy to watercooling. Well I’m looking for a setup that’ll keep my computer Silent or at least NEAR silent and at low temps. My specs are the following:

CPU: AMD Athlon64 3200+
MOBO: MSI K8TNEO FISR2 1.6
CASE: Antec Sonata /w 380W
RAM: 1Gb (2x512Mb) Mushkin Level 2 PC3500
GPU: ATI Radeon 9800XT (X800XT PE on order)
HDs: (2) 36.7Gb WD Raptors (Raid 0) (1) 120Gb WD Caviar

So far I’ve decided on the following components:

CPU: Swifttech
GPU: Silverprop Cylcone SLT or SL
PUMP: Ehiem 1048
RADIATOR: Heatercore if I can find a good shop or any 120mm Rad I can find that’s good
RESERVIOR: Either Closed Loop or T Line. Or something compact?
TUBING: ½” OD tubing

Will this be safe while moving, assuming that I clamp all hoses when I move. I realize that peltiers help a lot with heat transfer, but can I benefit from them while still maintaining silence and only on a 380W PSU? Please advice on a CPU block and Rad.

you will be hard pressed to run peltiers on that low wattage of power supply...... most people that use peltiers use an external variable power supply besides the one that is in the computer..... the psu's that are designed for computers just dont put out the amperage to run 1 peltier let alone 2...... just my 2 cents...

Im making this right now. It's a 77' boneville heatercore from Autozone for $17.99. Click HERE to view my "step by step" process on making this and then click HERE to read a GREAT article on how to make this from the guy i first saw the idea from. And alos i went HERE and bought a ViaAqua 1300 Pump for $17.99 + shipping. This little pump is talked about all over this oand other OC'ing forums, great little pump. Hope this helps some.
